Yotta Detector is a Google Chrome extension that analyzes websites in real time to detect potential phishing, malware, or social engineering threats. User privacy is a fundamental priority for us.

Information We Collect

This extension does not collect, store, or transmit personal user information such as names, emails, passwords, or full browsing history.

During normal operation, the extension may collect visible links (URLs) on a web page and send them to an external API solely for security analysis purposes.

This extension may require the use of an API key to enable its security features. The key is not associated with any personal user data and is stored locally in the browser.

How We Use the Information

The submitted URLs are processed by our API hosted on Azure to detect potential threats. The information is not linked to any user identity and is not permanently stored.

Extension Permissions

Yotta Detector requests permissions to access the pages you visit and their links in order to perform automated security scans. These permissions are used exclusively to provide the extension’s core functionality.

Third Parties

We do not share any information with third parties. The extension does not use advertising or tracking services.

Security

All communication with our API is encrypted via HTTPS. We take appropriate measures to ensure any temporary data is handled securely.
